While shopping for a t-shirt at Barney’s, founder and designer Carolina Cordon-Bouzan ran into the mother of a close friend and connected on how difficult it was to find quality clothing at an affordable price for the generation who was just starting their careers. This led to Carolina’s realization of a niche in the market: there was no clothing brand solely targeted to Generation Y at a compelling price point that valued luxury and modernism while acting socially responsible in the brand’s production and designs. Through this recognition, Carolina set out to create MILLENNIAL – a contemporary unisex brand that would boast a lower price point while speaking the same language in terms of quality and aesthetics as current contemporary brands.
